Romantic twilight vibes in North idaho

Ryli & Ethans wedding was my first solo booked wedding.

Heres some back story. Ryli & I have been friends since 2018 (we both lived in Phoenix, AZ) & pretty much the moment we met we became best friends. That same year I moved back to my home state California, not long after she moved back to her home state Idaho. The second I got into wedding photography she text me and said 'Your shooting Ethan & I's wedding' not a question, a statement. With that being a daunting task at the time (since like I said I just started photo) I said yes of course!

Here comes July 31st 2021, their wedding day!

With several days of prep; spray tans, nail appointments, wedding set up in the 103 degree smokey heat, & family hangs till 9:30pm the day was finally there for Ryli & Ethan. The day started off with about 4 different coffee runs by 4 different people (near a bad thing). As the bridesmaids were all getting hair and make-up done I was roaming around grabbing some awesome snaps of the gorgeous Story Book Barn CDA, which is pretty straight out of Twilight. Once all the ladies were ready & Ryli was in her dress we did their photos then rushed over to the trailers to get out of the heat. The boys started showing up just in time to do their photos and not have to worry too much about Ethan seeing Ryli in her dress. grabbed the groomsmen photos which seemed like they had a blast. The first look was as stunning as you can imagine against some gorgeous pine trees in the shining sun.

As the ceremony started one of the bridesmaids had the idea to have shots for all the girls as they started their walk down the aisle, perfect thing to take the edge off! The venue has the perfect spot in a little valley of trees for the ceremony area. Although they did a first look and hung out til the ceremony started as soon as Ethan saw Ryli there were tears. The officiant was one of our hilarious friends from Arizona, he was equal amounts of funny & romantic. We cried, they kissed, and then I made the kiss some more for their romantics. The night continued with a bride & groom keg stand, dancing, rapping to old 90's songs & beer bongs!

Their wedding was seriously one for the books and I am beyond blessed to have been involved in the day, literally alongside one of my best friends the entire day!
